about the story

"It doesn't matter what people tell you. It doesn't matter what they might say. Sometimes you have to leave home. Sometimes, running away means you're headed in the exact right direction." ~ Alice Hoffman; Practical Magic

SYNOPSIS: Regan Carter is a sixteen year old girl who's troubled life collides with Zac Hanson's on the road during the summer of 2002. A sudden heartbreak gets her into trouble on the last day of school, and as a result her overbearing mother sends her away to join her musician brother as he takes his debut on tour as the opening act for his friends, Hanson.

Though she leaves behind her two best friends Billy and Janie, a whole new world of possibilities and adventures open up to her when she meets Zac, a boy who learns to love and understand her better than anyone else ever could. But as the two of them grow close, so does the inevitable end to her summer vacation, looming low and threatening to force their paths apart.
